1966 Chevelle - new hit for Chevrolet lovers

Guess what, a new look 1966 Super Sport or Malibu Chevelle. It was a big hit. You could buy a Malibu as a normal family car engines starting with 6 cylinder or go with V8 283 or 327 engines or go with the popular car SS396 Big Block. It came with several horsepower ratings depending on carborator set up Holley or Quadra Jet. Neat car SS came with many options - factory air or factory tach or gauges, consoles with clock mounting between the bucket seats. Also nice chrome dashes lined with plastic chrome dash strips. The SS also made options with chrome bumper guards front and rear. The 1966 Chevelle also came out with a cool looking lowered hood with chrome inserts. The car came with neat transmission options such as 4 speed muncie transmissions or you could get powerglide 2 speed automatic trans or better yet the turbo 400 also 12 bolt heavy duty rear end with rear sway bar to help control the ride at faster speeds. A beautiful and still sought after muscle car.
